WSDOT has a system of over 250 Closed Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV). The operators at the TSMC use the cameras to locate and verify traffic incidents and to observe and adjust the ramp meters. Information is also provided by the Washington State Patrol’s (WSP) Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, voice intercom links to WSP, and via radio from WSDOT Maintenance personnel.
