This was selected as Best Answer Absolutely. Years ago I developed a methodology for putting butts-in-seats at seminars and it works… if you follow the steps. It includes a mix of well-timed radio advertising, direct mail, print (newspapers) and direct phone calls to the people who got the direct mail. It works very well and I’ve used it many times. In fact, about 10% of the people who call in for reservations will swear they saw it on TV and can even tell you the program (one said he’d seen our ad on the Super Bowl) although NO TV was ever purchased as part of the media buy. The mix of audio (radio and phone) and visual + tactile (print, direct mail) trick the brain into believing the combo must surely have been on TV.

*Sadly, we had to bring back ads too. Hopefully more targeted.
