All Cornell graduate students concentrating on East Asia, regardless of citizenship status, are eligible for the following three East Asia Program Area Studies fellowships: Robert J. Smith Fellowship for Japanese Studies (Smith), C.V. Starr Fellowship (Starr), and Lee Teng-hui Fellowship for World Affairs (Lee Teng-hui).
