BellSouth dropped DSL prices but didn automatically lower my bill. Why not?

The lower FastAccess prices are automatic for all new customers, but existing customers must call and request the lower price. The reasoning is that some existing customers have bundled packages for multiple services (phone/voicemail/FA/cell/satelliteTV/etc) that include selective discounts. The new FastAccess prices can not be combined with many of the older bundled packages. In some cases the customer would actually pay more on their overall bill if they took the current lower FastAccess price than with their current billing plan. You should carefully look at your current services, overall needs, and price structures before calling BellSouth for the lower FastAccess price.
