HealthBASE’s clinical decision support tools, as integrated with our ordering, referral and other patient event workflow tools, enable to referring physician office to be automatically guided through the process according to pre-built payer rules and requirements, and to access the procedure-specific questions and outcomes online, at their offices and the point-of-care, where now those systems are accesses by attendants within the RBM vendor and communicated by phone, fax or otherwise back and forth with the physician office. The high degree of automation that results from HealthBASE and our end-user profiling system, allows that many of the ordering and medical necessity review fields are auto-populated with the referring physician information and potentially with patient and initial diagnosis information and coding – to help further streamline, simplify and accelerate the pre-certification process for all parties involved.
