The device driver for the HASP hardware key (or dongle) sometimes may not install correctly. Also, from BarTender version 7.75 build 2003 and higher, the HASP key device driver is not automatically installed as part of the BarTender installation. You will need to install this separately if you are using a hardware key. The device driver can be found in the Key folder of the BarTender CD. The device driver installed by older versions of BarTender (v7.10 and below) might encounter compatibility problems with newer versions or updates of Windows, such as XP, 2003 server, Vista and later versions.
