Banner session freezes or hangs occasionally regardless if other applications are open or not. Why?
It’s possible that another Banner user or job, including yourself if you have multiple Banner sessions open, has a record lock on data displayed in one or more forms. If your session is requesting a lock on the same data, your session will freeze until the other lock is released. If your session is hung for more than one minute, then notify PRODSupport@admin.usf.edu and they will work with technical staff to end the sessions and release the locks.
