Ballykissangel aside, what sort of year has it been for you?
Well it s been a kind of mad year. I ve been doing a lot of travel for the film I made called “Agnes Browne”. So I ve been in New York a couple of times doing this kind of thing, being interviewed and for the premiere, and in London I did a radio series for BBC Radio 4 called “Faithful Departed”, and I did another series for the BBC called “Rebel Heart”, so it was a nice varied year and then starting back in Ballykissangel was great. So Agnes Browne was your first feature film? That s right, yeah – the one and only so far!! I had a great time on it. We shot it over nine weeks in Dublin and I enjoyed every minute of it. I was going to ask you if playing your Ballykissangel character narrows your working opportunities, but from what you are saying, it doesn t. Well, thank God not so far anyway!
