• It is the responsibility of the person’s supervising agency to determine the reason for any absences recorded by G4S. The case will then be treated as would any other in which a person has absconded. An electronic tag will not provide a person’s location once they have left their place of curfew. • However, if the person has an electronic monitoring requirement, it is likely that the supervising agency will be notified earlier than they would otherwise have been as the monitoring unit will show the person to be absent during or from the beginning of their curfew, indicating that enforcement action is required.
