• We can never give an absolute guarantee. An electronic tag will not prevent someone who wants to commit an offence from doing so, whether that is during the hours of their curfew or outside of these hours. Neither will it prevent an offender from absconding – although the authorities will quickly be made aware if an offender has done so during the hours of his curfew.
