Bachelors degree in psychology? ?

0

With only a bachelor’s degree in psych, you can’t have any kind of practice counseling or doing assessment testing. You can be a research assistant, work as a care assistant or developmental specialist at a mental hospital or day treatment program, etc. None of these pay much. You can also do any job that requires a bachelor’s degree without requiring a specific major. These are usually office jobs with corporations or government. To do most work in psychology, you’ll need a graduate degree. If you want to be a psychologist with a practice, get a PhD and take the licensing exam, as most health insurance plans only cover licensed PhDs for therapy. A master’s will allow you to do school psych and give assessments. You can go directly into a PhD program from a bachelor’s program; you do not need to get a master’s first.
