Baby teeth will fall out anyway, why fix them?
Cavities in baby teeth progress rapidly. Neglected cavities can lead to problems that affect the child’s permanent dentition, speech development, and self-esteem. Healthy baby teeth (or primary teeth) are important for children’s dental / facial growth and development. Baby teeth not only guide the eruption of permanent teeth, but also permit normal growth of children’s oral and maxillofacial jawbones and muscles. As with adults, children need healthy teeth to eat varieties of food easily, speak clearly, and smile with confidence. While the front teeth start to be replaced at 6-7 years of age, the back teeth (canines and molars) are not replaced until age 12-13.
