When WorldatWork and AWLP were brought together, our associations’ leaders made a commitment to getting to know one another better before suggesting any changes to the membership structure and benefits. During the past few years, we have collaborated on revising the WorldatWork total rewards model, developed joint products such as courses and books, and learned about the similarities and differences of our memberships. We have concluded with confidence that AWLP members are much like WorldatWork members overall: We have similar needs for education, knowledge and networking, while requiring focused attention in our particular specialty areas such as work-life, benefits or compensation. WorldatWork has developed deep content and connections within specialty areas while at the same time operating as one “family” of professionals who share a common passion for advancing the “people” strategies of our employers.
