Automatically switch Wifi <=> EDGE/3G on Blackberry?
When using Talk 2 IM on a Wifi equipped Blackberry you may have it automatically switch from Wifi to EDGE/3G or vice versa when a Wifi network is available. This functionality is already built into your Blackberry. Simply select ‘BIS-B’ as your transport. Whenever the Wifi connection is lost Talk 2 IM will automatically use the EDGE connection. No reconnect is necessary. When a Wifi connection is available Talk 2 IM will automatically use this connection. [i:b6b71]Please be aware that this does not work when Talk 2 IM is set to ‘Wifi’. This setting differs from ‘BIS-B’ in that your Blackberry establishes a direct connection to the Talk 2 IM servers using Wifi. Auto-switching is not supported.
