AutoClick doesn click on certain items under Windows Vista/7. What can I do?
In Windows Vista, Microsoft introduced the concept of User Account Control (UAC) as a tool to protect users from malicious software. If you’ve seen popups asking for your permission to proceed with some action, those are UAC windows. Unfortunately, UAC impacts some RSIGuard functions. When you see a UAC verification popup like the one shown above, no application in the regular Windows context can send or receive mouse/keyboard input — hence no AutoClicks, and no hotkeys or other KeyControl functionality is possible. In addition, administrative applications (i.e. applications that require you to confirm that you wish to run them via a UAC popup window) run in a protected context as well. An example of such an application would be the Computer Management application in the Control Panel.
