At what time in the morning are classrooms required to be open for students?
A. There is no requirement that classrooms be open to students before instruction begins at 8:30 am each school morning. Teachers have different routines and preferences however, and some classrooms are open earlier. If your child’s classroom is not open when they arrive at school, they should go the playground, where supervision is provided, until the whistle is blown at 8:25 am. They then line up with classmates and wait until their teacher signals them to enter the classroom.
