At what point is a RIS required?
A final RIS is required at the point a decision is taken. For multi-staged decision-making processes, where a RIS is prepared in accordance with the Guidelines in the COAG Best Practice Regulation guide, a RIS will not generally be required for follow-up or subsequent regulation which implements the original decision, unless significant additional regulation is contemplated.
