At what age does a kitten reach full size?
It depends on the breed. Different breeds get larger than others….Maine Coons are a lot larger than Siamese, for instance. A cat’s size doesn’t indicate maturity. If your kitten is 10 months old, she’s probably either been in heat or will soon come into heat…..if she’s not spayed. A kitten that comes into heat can get pregnant, even though their bodies aren’t really suited to having a litter, yet. I hope you’ve been feeding her KITTEN FOOD…..for the extra nutrition that kittens need to properly develop…until they’re at least 1 year old. Some vets will have a chart on their wall that shows the “average weight” for different breeds. Next time you’re at the vet, look and see if he has one of those. Hope this answers your question………Enjoy your kitten….Good luck.
It takes about 18 months. The size will vary depending on what type, etc. Fully grown (Length wise) I’d say about a year and a half, but the weight can fluctuate through the years.Cats reach Puberty by 8 or 9 months of age. They won’t necessarily be fully mature, they may fill out a bit more and develop a bit more boning. But they will often be as tall and as long as they are as an adult. Many cats become sexually mature much younger though, and can reproduce themselves well before they are adult, as early as 4 months in females and 6 months in males.
