At what age do cattle need to be tested?
Cattle can be tested for TB at any age. The age of animals that need to be tested depends on the reason for testing. A whole herd TB test requires testing all animals 12 months of age and older. The minimum age for testing animals for sale or interstate movement will depend upon the exhibition requirements, state import requirements, and federal interstate movement requirements. Check with your veterinarian before starting to TB-test your cattle.
