At what age can i start my child in boxing classes?
Before you put your child anywhere near a boxing ring, you must first honestly ask yourself if you’re really ready for this sport. see, you have to learn boxing before he does (so to speak). to get him involved, you must have some understanding outside of a fan. get some boxing tapes ( such as greatest knockouts and basics videos) as soon as you catch him imitating any boxing moves, then you know he’s ready.
That will vary from gym to gym. Typically, boxing gyms won’t allow a child to start nearly as early as a martial arts school. Many martial arts schools start taking students around the age of 4 or 5. You could always start him with something like that, see if your son likes it, and give him a head start. Then, when he’s old enough, he can start boxing. He’ll learn how to punch in the martial arts class, and it would be a fairly easy transition. Just make sure that your son really wants to do this. Good luck!
