Astropro either crashes my Netscape-equipped Macintosh altogether, or gives me the runaround with “unknown file type” or JavaScript error messages. Whats the problem, and whats the fix?
A. As far as I can determine based on feedback from my Maccie friends, the problem is that Netscape has done a lousy implementation of their browser for the Macintosh – at least as far as Netscape’s own LiveAudio and/or LiveConnect JavaScript controls for LiveAudio are concerned. While there may be tricks that can get around this, the only solution Maccies have reported to me is to get the Mac version of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer: it works fine with Astropro and anything else you can throw at it, they tell me. You can download the latest version of Internet Explorer free by clicking on the Internet Explorer icon at the Astropro entry.
