Having two personnel assignment numbers will not affect the amount of tax you are required to pay. If you were employed by Queensland Health before 7 March 2010, you will receive two payment summaries the same as other employees. These payment summaries will cover all of your assignments. Tax is calculated on your total earnings as a Queensland Health employee. You may have two or more positions but Queensland Health is your only employer for these positions. Your employee declaration covers all positions and allows tax to be withheld at the appropriate rate.
