Yes. Financial aid grants increase when tuition increases, relative to the family’s continuing need as demonstrated on the annual application. What is the typical amount awarded to families who qualify for need-based aid? There is no “typical” award. Current awards range from $500 to 99% of tuition. All families are expected to contribute to their child’s tuition. Is there a suggested income range for prospective applicants? No, because many other factors are considered such as number of children, inheritances/trusts, real estate owned, home equity available, lifestyle and automobile choices, etc. However, 90% of the families receiving aid in the 2009-2010 academic year had total family incomes under $200,000.
