As the Solv8 unit is electrically driven, is there any risk of explosion?

0

No; the Solv8 machine operates under a head (6 metres minimum) of oil. There is therefore no risk of sparking from the drive mechanism or from static electricity; further there is no possibility of an explosive atmosphere being created in the vicinity of the drive mechanism. Outside of the tank, the terminal box and External Control Unit (ECU) are Ex rated and suitable for operation in Zone 1 areas. Further, the ECU can be located remote from the tank in a safe environment.
