As ethics could be a new area for many students what is the best way of preparing for P1?

Ethics will be fairly new to students who progress to the Professional level or for those who come into ACCA with exemptions from the Knowledge module or other papers at the Fundamentals level. However, for progressing students ethics and corporate governance will have been covered and assessed to some extent in the F1 paper, in the F8 audit paper, and possibly in corporate reporting and other papers. The new aspect however, is the focus on ethics and professionalism as a subject on its own. Students who find themselves having to take P1 in the new qualification are therefore strongly recommended to take the professional ethics module (free of charge) in order to familiarise themselves with ethical theories and to develop ethical sensitivity through undertaking interactive exercises and engaging with a comprehensive audit based case study. By doing this they will find themselves better prepared for P1.
