As Deaf people have a variety of communication modes, who would be on the fringe of the Deaf community?

The citizenson the fringe of the Deaf community would be those individuals who recognize, possess and identify with most of the avenues into the community, or only a few but have strong attitudes. For example, a sign language interpreter would be most involved in the Linguistic, and Socio-Political avenues into the Deaf community but yet still sit on the fringe because of thier lack in the Audiologic portion of said spectrum. Since a hearing person can never, and will never know or experience what it is truly like to be deaf, they can become involved in and support the other avenues with strong values and a great attitude, based on thier skill level and compitence, but can not be easily accepted into the Core. There are those who jump between the Core, and throughout the rest of the spectrum, whose efficiency and acceptance into the Core is based on thier background i.e. Deaf parents, linguistic prowess, and a fluent understanding of Deaf Culture, i.e CODA’s.
