Current technology and sealer/wax applications has lead to a concrete that is quite hard, but not more stain resistant than other stone countertop materials. Every concrete counter should have a sealer applied to aid in water and stain resistance. The type of sealer will depend upon your own situation and requirements. It is still recommended to clean any stains, especially acidic spills, immediately to avoid marring the surface.
