As a survival school, does BOSS teach military techniques?
A. No, we are not a military survival or militia-training program. In fact, we re so far from the “Rambo” mentality on the trail that we ask people who are looking for a military program to go elsewhere for their training. Some of the techniques taught might be the same, but our emphasis is more on indigenous arts and traditional living skills. The philosophy is totally different. However, many people in the military do come on BOSS courses.
