As a summer associate, what are my chances of receiving an offer of employment as an associate?
We hire summer associates with the expectation that they will be successful and receive an offer at the end of the summer. The number of summer associates we hire is based on the number of entry-level lawyers we anticipate hiring for the following fall. Similarly, we hope every associate we hire will become a partner. We reject the tactic of hiring many and selecting only a few for partnership. • What happens at a call back interview? A call back, or second interview, gives you a chance to visit our offices in person and get a sense of our firm’s atmosphere. You’ll spend a few hours meeting with between six and ten attorneys from a variety of practice areas and, depending on the schedule, may join partners and/or associates for lunch or dinner. Within two weeks we’ll call to let you know the result of your interview.
