As a person with a disability, how do I apply using one of the special appointing authorities?
You should submit your resume to the DOT Operating Administration Human Resources office that posted the job for which you would like to apply under a special appointing authority. You will need to demonstrate your ability to perform duties satisfactorily and have been certified by counselors of state vocational rehabilitation agencies or the Veterans Administration. It may also be helpful to talk to a DOT Selective Placement Coordinator (SPC). For a list of these individuals, please visit our Persons with Disabilities webpage.
