As a “Newbie”, I wonder why people refer to Tibetan Spaniels as “Tibbies” and Tibetan Terriers as “Tibetans”?
That was one of the first questions I had as a “newbie” to Tibetan Spaniels, too. I also learned that while Chow Chow puppies are often referred to as “Chowlets”, Tibetan Spaniel puppies are not called “Tiblets”! Every breed has its own lingo, for sure, and I think these terms are invented at Dog Shows by “Dog People” and effectively divide the “old hands” from the “newbies! Welcome to the World of Tibetan Spaniels! Adopt a learn as you go “attitude”, because pretty soon you’ll find that a group of Tibbies is often referred to as “An Attitude”;just like a “School of Fish”!
