On December 31, the vacation quotas are re-evaluated so that balances carried into the new year are no more than 320 hours. In 2010, December 30 and December 31 are paid University holidays so the last working day of the year is December 29. Retiring employees who work the last day of the year are eligible to be paid for the New Year’s holiday.
