A. No. A notary’s authority extends no further than the geographic boundaries of Indiana . A notary cannot perform one part of a notarial act outside the state and the other part inside the state. Both parts must be executed at the same time and the same place inside Indiana . If the resident of another state cannot come to Indiana , he should find a notary public in his state.
