Because of its chemical set-up, cococoir is also known to last for more than ten years without any change in its physical characteristics. European growers, for example, use cococoir in hydroponic growbags for about five years as they grow tomatoes, flowers, strawberries, lettuce, or bell pepper. Cococoir is reusable up to four years.
