A6. Eligible employees accrue sick leave at 10 hours per month. The accrual rate does not increase with years of service. Sick leave is available on the first day after it is earned. Eligible employees must be in pay status for at least half of the month in order to accrue sick leave. Part-time, temporary, and state re-employed ERS/TRS retired employees are ineligible for sick leave.
