As a director of adults/children’s services in a local authority, how would The College make my job easier?
Assuming that you support and enable the social workers that you employ to join The College, your job will be much easier because: • The College will assist you with recruitment and retention of social workers by supporting you to develop employment standards that enable the best social work practice, and will work with the regulators and inspectorates to ‘accredit’ you in achieving these standards • Through membership of The College your social worker employees will gain access to high quality professional development resources and training • The College will foster a shared understanding of what it is that social workers do, the difference they can make, and the professional support and development they require to do their jobs well
