Arrangements for the six clinical rotations in Australia: who makes the arrangement with the hospitals? Would the students who pass the 10 pre-clinical blocks (at VCMs specified level) be guaranteed rotations at Australian hospitals?
As yet we do not have firm arrangements with any hospital to accept students for rotations, however indications are that this will not be a major problem. We would prefer it if students nominated a hospital in their locality and we would then assist in arrangement the clinical placement. The fallback would be to do the rotation in Vanuatu (which is a very clinically rich learning environment–highly recommended).
