Only when convenient. Unlike the current mayor, Vic is a lifelong Democrat who has worked hard for 25 years on progressive causes–locally, statewide, and nationally. By contrast, the current mayor was a lifelong Republican, who ran unsuccessfully for the Township Committee as an Independent, then switched parties again to run as a Democrat. In 2001, while Vic was supporting David Huemer, the Democrat for Township Committee, Mr. Grodman chose to support the independent candidate and not the Democrat.
