Other solutions created to protect the confidentiality of electronic communications use means that have a greater risk of interception and/or reproduction. Typical systems utilize encrypted e-mail or generate e-mail that “disappears” after a preset time. Anything encrypted can be unencrypted and disappearing e-mails rarely are completely removed from computing systems. Neither of these approaches is truly confidential nor a wholly new communications paradigm. VaporStream Confidential Messaging enhances confidentiality in several ways: separating header information from message information during message creation, transport, and display; not creating a record on sender or recipient computing systems; and automatically and completely deleting a message in the network at the time of viewing by the recipient.
