Aren the EU targets of reducing emissions by 20% in 2020 too ambitious?
The EU’s climate policy is aimed at avoiding dangerous climate change and to limiting global warming to 2 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial levels. This is what science tells us is required in order to avoid a drastic increase in negative effects from global warming. We need to get started on this reduction path in the next 10 years or so.
