Arent planar speakers time- and phase-accurate?

0

Actually most are not. Almost all planar speakers have a woofer and a tweeter with a crossover network to blend them together. A speaker with a steep crossover slope is not time and phase-accurate. Even if the crossover network is first-order (most arent), planar speakers often have the tweeter positioned beside the woofer. The relative path length between these drivers and each listener will be different for every lateral listening position.
