Aren automation tools complex and time consuming to write?
Many of the productivity tools we write take only a few hours to design, write and test. Complex tools which automate more difficult manual tasks can take a few days, and very complex tools can take more time, depending on the requirements. The cost of writing an automation tool is always weighed against the time and work it will save – if it is faster and cheaper to automate a task, then do it. Our speed of development is partly due to a set of already-developed Acme Power Tools REXX functions which we provide for our clients, and partly due to our many years of experience.
