Fillers not only increase the sheer weight of the material but can also reduce long term performance. Some commercially available roof cements weigh in excess of 12 lbs. per gallon (60 lbs per 5 gallon pail). In contrast, Lucas Roof Cements weigh 8.3 to 8.5 lbs. per gallon (42 to 45 lbs. Per 5 gallon pail).
