And a checkerboard is a black board with red squares. Actually, from closely studying the pictures of zebras, you will notice the nose is black. (actually you don’t have to look all that close.) A little background on horse colors: for a horse to be considered a white horse, the nose must be pink. a “white” appearing horse with a dark nose is technically a gray. Therefore, if the choices are between a white horse with black lines, and a black horse with white lines, it must be a black horse with white lines.
