You were showing me some prayer cloth. Do tell me about it. When we go to the guru we put some money into this cloth according to our means either one or five rupees. [It is a white lacy cloth meant for prayer and called khatak] We bow down and offer it to the guru. The guru places the same khatak around our neck with his blessing. He also enquires about our well being. In case there is a sick person in the family, we pray to the guru to restore the person’s health. The Dalai Lama is our guru.
