It’ll be homegrown and as compatible as possible with the app_server in BeOS R5.The interface kit (IK) team is using the AtheOS app server as a model. None of the code from Atheos is being used — partly because of licensing issues and partly because AtheOS and BeOS are alike only on the surface.
