Leucoderma also known as vitiligo, is a disorder where the skin loses its normal coloration. It is also medically known as achromia, which means loss of color. Leucoderma simply means white (leuco) skin (derma). There is a gradual loss of pigment melanin from the skin layer which results in white patches. The condition does not cause any organic harm.
