Are you planning to introduce an iPhone app or a mobile site?

We are currently developing a mobile version of our site that will be optimized for iPhone, iPod, Android and Blackberry web browsers. This approach will allow us to offer full online access to all our content, whether the subscriber purchases a print subscription, a web-only subscription on their computer web browser or on their handheld. One subscription will equal full web access on any of these devices. We think this is the best approach overall to reach the most people. We are in production with a target completion date of February 1, 2011. We are also exploring an iPhone and Android app. The problem with this approach is that whether or not a customer has a current subscription (Printed or Web-Only), there will be a separate charge to view our content in one of these apps. We do not have a scheduled production start date at this time.
