Are X-rays dangerous for operators?
The impact of X-rays during times of exposure is 10 times less than during a lung X-ray or a dental X-ray. HCV systems incorporate comprehensive safety mechanisms such as locks and motion detectors to ensure that operators, truck drivers or other personnel do not come into contact with X-rays during inspection. As well, the X-ray generator itself is not radioactive, therefore there is no danger in handling the equipment itself.
