Are Woodstock Farms peanut butters linked to the recent salmonella outbreak?
Woodstock Farms peanut butters are not in any way associated with the recent salmonella tainted peanut butter manufactured by Peanut Corporation of America in their Blakely Georgia facility, nor have we been contacted by any official agencies concerning the outbreak and our peanut butter. Our peanuts are roasted and processed in New York and Canada. All of the peanuts are tested upon receipt and Samonella testing is completed on all finished products. If you should have any additional concerns or questions please feel free to contact us. How do I read the code on the cap or box? There are many different coding schemes. Generally, if you see a three digit number, it is what is called a “Julien” date, that is, the day of the year number, so January 1st would be 001 and June 1 would be 181. This is often followed by a letter which indicates the production shift.
